I once had a bird who could fly
But everytime it left my hand
And it tried to reach the sky
It fell down, down, down to the ground
Never hearing the sound
Of the angels around
And then one day I found myself without it

But everytime that winther faded
And nature smelled of spring
It went dumb, dumb, suddenly numb
Never hearing the song of the angels among
And then one day I found myself without it

And then the other day an angel came my way
She whispered in my ear:
There’s something you must hear
I’ve got your little bird and finally it heard
The fundamental sound of angels all around
